Alec & Lindsey went out for the first time in High School - dated here and there. They grew up close, in the same Stake. Then they went and spread their wings, both serving LDS missions outside their small towns. Back in Utah and ready to mingle, and maybe they could have met someone new, but why when they already knew someone great! ;) They got back in touch and it just plain worked! This session was beautiful and so fun. Snow isn't the easiest to work with sometimes logistically, but its beauty never disappoints! I love these two, we have some beautiful sessions ahead to highlight on this blog!
Jeremie and Sherrie are a success story of the internet dating game! :) They met in real life on a date and I asked if they knew right away, and they weren't sure if they 'knew' but they knew it was comfortable right away, they immediately began frequently dating and it was as if it just worked without trying too hard. It was easy to talk and be with each other. They are reserved and thoughtful and do seem just so at ease with each other. Enjoy these winter engagements, we've got formals and wedding day to come!
Jerry & Jocelyn are a great couple and so sweet. They met online and launched into a distance relationship for awhile as they got to know each other. They bring out a real joy in each other and were a pleasure to work with. They had a lot of ideas and enthusiasm for this process and that was really fun. Also Jocelyn's hair and make-up is on point! ;) Hat tip to great make up artists out there! Enjoy these cuties!
Okay, finally sharing the engagements from David & Katie from last fall. I happen to kinda sorta know David, he's my cousin. Oh, and we lived right above him for awhile (poor soul). So I can confidently say this seems such a good match. One of the reasons - David rides his bike. He rides his bike to work and for pleasure it's 105* or -5* and whether it's raining or snowing. He says he only doesn't ride his bike if, 'he's really late for work'. So when I saw Katie, without protest cinching down the hood of her rain jacket & putting on her helmet to ride to work together in weather I probably wouldn't leave my house in, I thought - You should propose David. :P And even though I didn't say it, he's wise enough and they love each other and they got there without my silly imput. (And b...
Austin was on a date when he first saw Jordan and talked to her a little bit. They were in a hot tub at the apartment complex and he was VERY intrigued. Saw her at church and asked her out immediately. Or at least Jordan thought they had plans, but he didn't follow up, so she accepted another date that night. Lol. Oh the tangled webs! But Austin got her out sooner or later and he absolutely knew she was the one. These two have that modely ease in front of the camera, something not all of us do, me included...so it was painfully easy to take their photos! :) Enjoy these!!
Chad and Laura were blending their families and blending their lives... but before they even met I knew Laura from 100 years ago, haha. So when she wrote I was more than a little disappointed that her wedding day was 2 days before I was due to have a baby. That being too much of a risk to take with someone's wedding photos I couldn't in good conscience agree to it. Bummed! So I was excited to at least share a little in the love and do a few engagement photos for this amazing couple. I'd never met Chad, so I was glad to see them interact for an afternoon and capture the adorableness. Check them out... At this point they're all married too, so many many many happy returns guys! (PS. Let's hang out!)
Josh and Ashley embraced the cold for this chilly and snuggly engagement session. What a great couple. Beautiful in and out, which is always the best. We enjoyed our chilly time at 1st Dam and managed to avoid the aggressive ducks. We have formals and Wedding Day upcoming with these two, so check that out later on the bloggie.
Believe it or not girls, Bailey didn't know these were happening till just before! Ryan & Bailey's mom had discussed his iminent proposal, and arranged for engagement pictures to happen as a part of the big surprise THE NEXT DAY! What a whirlwind, but Bailey is an easy going girl and so beautiful she could probably just roll out and take great pictures! The two of them make a beautiful pair. It was cold, but we all powered through and it's worth it in the end, right!! Enjoy the lovebirds!
Casin & Emily are a couple of young and in love Texans. They met after Casin got back from his mission and spent the summer in Texas before moving out to Utah for school. By the time he moved out Emily moved right along with him, because obviously they had found something special. Emily had 100 ideas for engagment photos, and it was fun to try to bring a few to life! Kinda like a theme challenge. Enjoy the process below!
Teresa & Grant make a great couple. As a testament of what Grant is willing to do for Teresa he agreed to these pictures! ;P He doesn't understand it, but Teresa did and that was enough I guess! I like to believe in 20 years, he'll understand it a little more! :) Teresa and Grant met at an institute class at school and he asked her out right away, but Teresa was hoping he would almost instantly, so it was all good to her. And that's about all it took... it made sense right away!
