Little M's such a sweetie. I watched her be born, and so a few days later we got together and took these pictures of her and her family. What an amazing time in life, welcoming a new person into a family. It's just like nothing else. Suddenly this person arrives and they are so new and sweet, but totally a new mystery. It's so amazing to be there to take pictures and work with these little babies and just feel that moment. Love these guys!
When you look at this cute baby you may think, sleepy newborn baby pics. But we're actually fooling you here I think because I think about 8/10 of these are just blinks from a wide awake baby, haha. He was so even tempered, and so well behaved, but SO not interested in sleep. What's a newborn shoot though with out a bit of an adventure?! Baby M spells baby boy #3 of this family, and while I know mom thought a girl sounded fun, when this little beauty landed in their lives I know she changed her mind! What a sweetie!
I was lucky enough to be present the day Baby M was born. I cried when he first cried and experienced the miracle. So it was special and fun to get to follow up with newborn pictures of this cute kiddo. He wanted to be a challenge, but we persisted and succeeded anyway! ;) By way of explanation you must know... grandpa to M is a HUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE Red Sox fan. The baseball stuff is his, and the momma wanted a little something for grandpa's office. Check mark!
(Obligatory crying photo... because the reality is always good too! :))
Over the past few years I've done many pictures for this family. I am long time friends with the momma! I've never actually photographed a birth story before, although I LOVE looking through them online and I've been a long time follower online of a few of the big 'names' who do these things exclusively. It is just such a powerful experience, and even just seeing a birthstory usually has me choking up a bit. So I was ELATED to do this for my friend and a little nervous to get it right and priveleged to witness this first hand. This is a family who waited for this baby, and it was amazing to see them get that well deserved moment of perfect joy when he arrived.
*For those who may not have seen one of these before, NO FEAR, this one is totally all age appropri...
Little Miss K is the most adorable baby girl. I love baby girls. Probably because I don't have any, haha, so they're like... mythical creatures. This little one could make your uterus skip a beat. So I warn you, if you don't want to get baby hungry, pllleeaaasseee, look no further! ;)
Baby J was not interested in being in pictures! As much as we carefully laid plans and tried all our tricks and treats he just wanted to be held and loved. The upside is we got a lot of great family shots, which are really in a newborn session typically relagated to the last few minutes we have left. So even an uncooperative baby we're going to make worth. And it's worth it right? Look at that sweet face. Make you just want to scoop him right up too!
Double the fun? Or Double the Trouble? The jury is still out in the long run, but for this shoot...FUN! I was worried as I had never done multiples before. And there's a whole new set of posing and positioning guidelines for twinsies. But I studied up and I was excited - and YaY, it worked. I was especially excited because this is MY neice and nephew! :)
Since he's mine, I can hardly speak about this baby without telling you he's the absolute best. That's not biased, right? Actually I planned this shoot and did it by myself, and I was worried and for no good reason. Baby J absolutely zoned through the entire shoot. I probably could've stuck him in, on or outside of anything. Personally I like very simple baby photos, but had I known, I may have tried some tricks, just as practice! So here he is, my bubs!
